Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and experienced editor to edit a nonfiction manuscript (37,000–40,000 words) focused on spirituality, personal growth, and submission within relationships. The ideal editor will have experience editing in U.S. English, with a strong skillset in error detection, including grammar, punctuation, and sentence clarity, along with the ability to provide developmental feedback on overall flow, tone, and message delivery This book is written in a conversational yet empowering tone, and we are looking for an editor who can enhance the manuscript while preserving the author’s voice. Responsibilities: *Edit and proofread the manuscript for clarity, flow, and overall structure *Edit and proofread for errors in grammar, punctuation, and spelling *Ensure consistency in tone, style, and voice throughout the manuscript *Provide developmental feedback on content flow, section transitions, and readability *Suggest improvements in sentence structure and phrasing *Work collaboratively with the author to enhance the overall quality and impact of the book PLEASE NOTE: FIRST MILESTONE WILL BE A PAID TEST EDIT ($25) A short sample (1–2 pages) will be provided to test your editing skills and ensure you are the right fit for the full project. The recipient further agrees not to use or exploit the contents of the manuscript for any personal or commercial purpose outside of editing the manuscript without prior written consent from the author.
