Summary

WHO WE ARE A Mexican commercial lighting company. We import, assemble in Mexico, and install complete lighting projects for large multi-location retail chains. 1,000+ installed locations. Odoo is our core system. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR An independent Odoo advisor working on our side of the table. We're on Odoo Enterprise v14/15 and migrating to v19. We have 39 custom modules built by an external vendor over the last 4 years, undocumented, and we don't know which ones are still useful. That same vendor is quoting the migration. Your counterpart is our in-house systems lead, a systems engineer. You work alongside him on everything. THREE PHASES 1. Before the migration Review the 39 modules and tell us which ones actually need to migrate and which don't. Challenge and compare the vendor quotes. 2. During the migration Support our team and validate everything the vendor delivers, through go-live. 3. After Help us define what the business actually needs: what can be solved through configuration, what requires new development, and in what order. REQUIREMENTS - Native or working Spanish, with hours compatible with Mexico City. - Major-version Odoo migrations, not just development. - Experience reviewing modules written by others. - Deep knowledge of Odoo 19, particularly analytic plans and analytic distribution. - Nice to have: Mexican localization (CFDI, PAC) and manufacturing or distribution clients. TERMS Long-term relationship, hourly, starting with a few hours per week. In phases 1 and 2 you don't develop: your role is to evaluate and validate the vendor's work. Deliverables in Spanish. NDA before access is granted. TO APPLY, ANSWER THESE: 1. We use analytic tags for project margin in v14. What happens in v19 and how does historical data migrate? 2. A specific case where you told a client NOT to migrate a module. Which one and why? 3. How do you review another vendor's modules without access to the repository? Proposals that don't answer all three questions won't be read.
