Odoo Events and Calendar Setup and integration with Wordpress

Set up a working Odoo instance (or use your own sandbox) with the Events and Calendar modules configured with sample data: a few events, sessions/tracks, registration forms, and calendar views. Configure a sample mailing list flow — Odoo Mailing Lists — so we can see how event registrants flow into a list. Demonstrate the customisation ceiling on the front end. Specifically, show us: What an embedded/iframe event or registration form looks like out of the box, and how much of it can actually be restyled (fields, labels, layout, fonts, colours, buttons). Whether the iframe embed is fixed-design or whether CSS/theme overrides genuinely work. What the alternative approaches are — e.g. Odoo REST/JSON-RPC API or webhooks feeding a fully custom WordPress front end — and the trade-offs of each. Same question for the calendar module: can we control the visual output, or are we stuck with Odoo's default rendering? Deliver a short written summary (1–2 pages is fine) with screenshots or a Loom walkthrough covering what's customisable, what isn't, and what you'd recommend. What we're deciding The core question is simple: if we drop in an Odoo iframe, are we locked to Odoo's design, or can we make it match our client's brand? If iframes are too rigid, we want to know what the API-driven path looks like in terms of effort. Requirements Demonstrated experience with Odoo (v16/17/18) Events, Calendar, and Mailing/Marketing modules Familiar with Odoo's website builder, QWeb templates, and front-end theming Comfortable explaining technical constraints plainly to a non-Odoo team Experience connecting Odoo to third-party mailing platforms (GetResponse, Mailchimp, or similar) is a plus Prior Odoo–WordPress work is a strong plus
