# Odoo 19 Certified Developer Needed — LMS, Course Enrollment, Portal & User Role Workflows We are looking for an **officially Odoo-certified developer** with strong hands-on experience in **Odoo 19** to work on a custom training-course platform. This is not a basic Odoo setup, website-builder, or simple configuration role. You must be comfortable working with custom Odoo modules, Python, user permissions, portal workflows, course enrollment logic, eCommerce purchase flows, admin tools, and role-based access. ## Compensation & Availability * **Pay:** $10 USD per hour * **Hours:** 20–40 hours per week * **Schedule:** Ongoing work with the potential for a long-term role * Please apply only if you are comfortable with the rate and can consistently commit within this weekly range. ## Certification Requirement You must be **officially Odoo certified**. Please include proof of certification, your certificate details, or a verifiable credential in your proposal. Applicants who are not certified or do not have real custom-development experience in Odoo will not be considered. ## Project Overview We operate a course and certification platform with multiple types of users: * Individual students purchasing courses for themselves * Instructors purchasing courses for their students * Employers purchasing courses for instructors and regular students * Internal admins managing users, enrollments, course selections, and exam activity The platform needs clean, secure workflows that properly distinguish each user type and give them the correct access to manage the people and course activity connected to their account. ## Main Responsibilities You will work on custom workflows involving: * Instructor purchases for their students, including automatically associating the correct instructor with purchased student courses * Employer purchases for both instructors and standard students * Properly distinguishing instructor participants from regular student participants within employer purchases * Automated course enrollment and assignment logic after purchase * Student self-service profile editing through the portal * Instructor ability to view and edit their students’ profiles * Employer ability to view and edit both instructor and student profiles * Admin ability to change course selections for users and manage instructor/student profile information * Admin tools for resetting or deleting failed exam attempts * Improving existing course-management and admin wizards * Reviewing user-role logic, permissions, visibility, and data relationships * Diagnosing and correcting issues in existing custom Odoo functionality * Making sure updates are stable and do not break existing production workflows ## Required Experience You must have practical experience with: * **Odoo 19 development** * Python and the Odoo ORM * Custom Odoo module development and maintenance * XML views, forms, actions, menus, and QWeb templates * Odoo security groups, access-control lists, record rules, and portal permissions * Odoo Website and Portal customization * Odoo eCommerce purchase flows * Odoo eLearning, course enrollment, certifications, or similar learning-management workflows * Multi-user account structures and role-based access * Automated enrollment, assignment, and purchase-triggered actions * Wizards, transient models, server actions, and custom admin tools * Debugging existing code written by another developer * Git, version control, staging environments, and safe production deployment * Writing clear documentation for completed development work ## What We Are Looking For The right developer should be: * Highly detail-oriented * Comfortable inheriting and improving existing custom Odoo code * Strong with permissions, record rules, portal users, and relational data models * Able to explain technical issues in clear English * Careful about testing before production deployment * Proactive about identifying workflow conflicts, permission risks, and edge cases * Reliable with communication and weekly availability * Interested in an ongoing working relationship ## Do Not Apply If Please do not apply if: * You only have experience with basic Odoo configuration * You have not worked directly with custom Odoo modules * You do not have Odoo 19 experience * You are not officially Odoo certified * You cannot work within the stated rate of $10/hour * You cannot commit at least 20 hours per week * You rely entirely on third-party apps without being able to modify or debug custom code ## To Apply Please answer all of the following in your proposal: 1.
