Odoo Functional Consultant / ERP Analyst
Worldwide
Odoo Functional Consultant / ERP Analyst Who We Are: An Odoo Silver Partner that implements Odoo for mid-market clients across manufacturing, distribution, e-commerce, and services. We deliver agile ERP implementations, reliable support, and long-term client relationships. The Role: We’re hiring an Odoo Functional Consultant / ERP Analyst to own the full delivery lifecycle — from requirements workshops and configuration through to testing, go-live, and post-live support. This is a hands-on functional role: you turn signed-off requirements into a working, tested Odoo environment, and you remain the expert clients turn to when something needs fixing or improving. This is NOT a “client-success” or upsell-driven role. Your core job is to solve problems, know the system deeply, and work closely with our consultants and developers to deliver outcomes. Where you genuinely spot improvement opportunities (missing modules, better workflows, overlooked features), you flag them to the sales or consulting team — you don’t push them. What You’ll Do: Implementation & Configuration • Deliver end-to-end Odoo implementation projects: functional configuration, workflows, testing, and user training • Configure modules across manufacturing, inventory, procurement, and finance to match client requirements • Set up inventory and logistics flows, including stock management, transfers, and replenishment • Configure end-to-end procurement and sales cycles, from purchase orders through to invoicing and cash collection • Handle financial configuration including costing methods, valuation, and accounting setup • Manage integrations with third-party platforms and external systems via available connectors • Build reports and dashboards to support client visibility and decision-making Support & Problem-Solving • Diagnose and resolve functional issues across Odoo modules, identifying root causes and delivering effective solutions • Reproduce and resolve bugs or apply workarounds, escalating to development where needed • Advise clients on best practices and workflow improvements to keep configurations clean and maintainable Testing & Delivery • Author and execute structured test plans covering key scenarios, edge cases, and end-to-end flows • Run UAT, capture defects, and drive them to closure • Manage data migration into Odoo, ensuring accuracy and alignment with source systems • Support go-live and hypercare, ensuring a smooth transition for clients Documentation & Client Engagement • Document configuration decisions, SOPs, client-ready specifications, training materials, and support guides • Facilitate requirements workshops and elicitation sessions • Push back on scope creep professionally and communicate solutions clearly to non-technical stakeholders What You’ll Bring: Must-Haves • 3+ years hands-on Odoo experience as a functional consultant, ERP analyst, or in-house specialist (v15+; v17 or later strongly preferred) • Deep functional knowledge across at least four of: Sales, Purchase, Inventory, Manufacturing, Accounting, CRM, Project, Helpdesk • Proven ability to configure, diagnose, and resolve configuration issues, data inconsistencies, workflow errors, and functional bugs • Practical experience with data import/export, custom modules, and general Odoo system administration • Experience authoring and executing test plans and running UAT • Proven track record delivering or supporting full Odoo implementation projects • Excellent written and spoken English; calm, analytical, and structured under pressure Nice to Have: • Odoo v18+ experience • Odoo Studio for light customisation • Manufacturing: subcontracting flows; PLM / Engineering Change Order workflows • Inventory: landed cost for imported goods • Finance: UK localisation (CoA, VAT, MTD, fixed assets) or equivalent regional; multi-company / multi-currency; bank feeds and OCR invoice capture • E-commerce integrations: Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento or similar • Background in a regulated or audit-sensitive industry • Exposure to pre-sales, solution scoping, or GAP analysis consultations What You’ll Gain • Broad, hands-on exposure to Odoo across multiple industries and real-world business processes • A role that blends functional expertise, problem-solving, and continuous system improvement • Clear growth paths into Implementation Consultant, Solution Architect, or Support Lead • A stable, supportive, remote-first environment with a collaborative team
