Office / Accounting Manager (Part-Time)

About Us We are a family-owned wine importer and distributor seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Office / Accounting Manager to join our team. This position plays a key role in supporting our sales, warehouse, and accounting operations while helping ensure our customers receive exceptional service. This is a part-time remote position averaging 24–30 hours per week, requiring availability Monday through Thursday from 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Pacific Time). These hours are not flexible due to the collaborative nature of the role. Responsibilities Process customer orders by working closely with our warehouse and sales teams to ensure timely deliveries throughout Northern and Southern California. Manage inventory through ongoing coordination with the warehouse and company owner. Prepare and process customer invoices. Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding invoices and collections. Work with customers' Accounts Payable departments to ensure invoices are received and paid promptly. Assist with month-end accounting processes, including inventory reconciliation. Forecast inventory levels, with particular attention to new products and incoming shipments. Enter new products into our system and maintain accurate product data. Assist with creating and updating sales materials. Identify opportunities to improve office procedures and accounting workflows. Resolve accounting, inventory, and customer service issues quickly and professionally. Qualifications Previous accounting and bookkeeping experience required. Experience with month-end closing and inventory reconciliation. Excellent organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities. Strong data entry skills with a high degree of accuracy. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience with AccountEdge (MYOB) is preferred but not required. Basic knowledge of wine varieties and wine regions is a plus, but not required.
