Ongoing Bookkeeping and Payroll Specialist Needed for QuickBooks Online

We are seeking a meticulous and reliable Bookkeeping and Payroll Specialist with strong experience in Canadian sales tax and payroll, and advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Dext. This role involves providing monthly bookkeeping and year-end preparation for three small businesses plus small accounting firm, as well as processing bi-weekly payroll for one company with four employees. Responsibilities include managing bank feeds and posting transactions, coding and processing invoices through Dext, completing quarterly balance sheet reconciliations, maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, processing payroll, and ensuring compliance with all applicable tax regulations. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, organized, and proactive, with the ability to maintain financial accuracy and consistency. This is an ongoing engagement, and we are looking for someone who can commit to regular communication, timely updates, and dependable support. Approximately 20 hours per month more at year end.
