Summary

My job is to give strategy and direction. Your job is to make sure everything gets done. I'm the founder of an online education community in the e-commerce space (~1,000 paying members, large social media reach, small remote team). I know exactly where the business needs to go and what "done" looks like for almost every initiative. What I need is the person who takes that and drives it to completion through the team without me needing to lead every step of the way. ***What you'll actually do:*** 1. Own the initiative tracker. We run 5-6 major initiatives per quarter (hiring, creating systems, marketing pushes, community operations). You keep your finger on the pulse of every one of them, every day, asking one question: how do we move this closer to done today? And then you take swift action on moving the current focus forward. 2. Chase without being asked. You follow up with team members, get status updates, find blockers, and fix them. If something is stalling, you know before I do and clearly communicate it so we can move with speed. 3. Extract information and turn it into systems. You take information from our calls, meetings, and current structures to identify gaps in our business and then create new SOPs, processes, and systems that can be ran effectively. 4. Daily check ins and recaps: We will have a daily call to discuss what moved, what's stuck, and what you need from me. You will take notes on each meeting to deliver a clear action plan on next steps and who is responsible for them. 5. Run hiring processes end-to-end. Sourcing, screening, interviews, etc. and I'll come in for the final approval. 6. Talk to the team constantly. You will be responsible for sending daily updates and recaps to the leadership team to ensure everyone is focused and on track. Hop on calls with them if needed, figure out what's blocking them, get them what they need, hold them to deadlines. ***What success looks like*** 1. I never have to follow up more than once. 2. I find out about problems from your recap, not by discovering them myself. 3. Initiatives that used to take a month close in a week. 4. The business's knowledge lives in documented systems, not in my head. 5. You communicate clearly with the entire team and understand how the entire business is working together. 6. You come to me with a list of completed tasks and outcomes that you drove on your own. ***Who this is for*** 1. You are a driver. You get genuine satisfaction from closing loops, chasing things down, and watching the numbers improve. 2. You've run execution before: operations manager, chief of staff, senior project manager, or you've been the "makes everything actually happen" person at a previous company. 3. You communicate proactively by default. If something isn't working or if you aren't able to do something because of a blocker, that is quickly communicated so we can move forward. 4. You're organized and are able think systematically about how an entire operation should run. ***Our hiring process*** 1. Tell me about a previous experience you've had with closing loops, chasing down team members to hit deadlines, getting rid of blockers, big initiatives you've handled, or anything similar. We need someone who is able to be self led and drive outcomes. 2. One hour interview with me (owner). 3. A two-week paid trial. 4. If the trial goes well, we will continue with an hourly rate for ~1 month and then switch to a retainer. Thank you. Looking forward to reading your responses!
