Summary

Operations Manager Remote | UK Hours The Role We're looking for an Operations Manager to take day-to-day ownership of our team and business operations, reporting directly to our CEO. This is a genuine leadership position. You'll be managing people, keeping the business running smoothly, and playing an active role in how we develop and improve over time. If you're the type of person who spots problems before they're raised, takes ownership without being chased, and wants to actually shape how a business operates rather than just maintain it, this could be a strong fit. What We're Looking For You have experience managing a team and running operations in a service-based business. You're organised, direct, and take ownership of outcomes rather than just tasks. You think in systems. You understand how a well-run operation is supposed to feel, and you notice when something is off before it becomes a problem. GoHighLevel experience is a strong plus. Familiarity with tools like Make, QuickBooks, or OneDrive is helpful but not essential. What matters most is that you're comfortable inside systems-driven businesses and can get on top of new tools without much hand-holding. You write and communicate clearly, you're comfortable having difficult conversations when needed, and you think about the business as a whole rather than just your corner of it. What You'll Be Responsible For Team management. You'll oversee the day-to-day performance of the Sales and Fulfilment teams, making sure tasks are completed on time, standards are maintained, and nothing falls through the gap. You'll be the first point of escalation before issues reach CEO. Workflow and CRM oversight. Our primary platform is GoHighLevel. You'll make sure pipelines, automations, and workflows are functioning correctly, pick up on errors or gaps, and coordinate fixes. You don't need to be a developer, but you do need to be comfortable working inside the system and understanding how it all connects. Job progression and scheduling. You'll ensure accepted jobs move cleanly through onboarding, that inspections are booked and confirmed, that surveyors have what they need before going on site, and that reports are dispatched on time. Operational standards. We have a library of SOPs covering our key processes. You'll make sure the team is following them, keep them updated when processes change, and identify where new ones are needed. Business development support. As you settle in, you'll help identify opportunities to improve how we operate, whether that's tightening a process, improving a client touchpoint, or flagging a commercial opportunity worth pursuing. About Us Nicholas & Co. Surveyors is a regulated Chartered Surveying practice based in Hertfordshire, UK, operating across London and the surrounding counties. We help people buy, value, and understand property, working with homebuyers, landlords, solicitors, and commercial property owners. We're a growing, process-driven firm. We have a clear tech stack, a structured playbook library, and a genuine focus on doing things properly. We use GoHighLevel as our CRM and automation hub, Microsoft Teams for internal comms, QuickBooks for invoicing, and OneDrive for document management. We communicate directly, set clear expectations, and trust the people we work with to get on with things. To Apply Send your profile and answer this question: "Tell us about a process or system you found broken, what you did to fix it, and what changed as a result." We're not looking for the longest answer. Just the clearest one.
