Operations/SRE Engineer (Japan Timezone)

Operations / SRE Engineer Position Summary We are seeking an MES Operations / SRE Engineer to support the stable operation of the SyncoraDMP MES system at the factory in Japan. This role will provide on‑site operational support, assist with software deployments, investigate system issues, and collaborate closely with PCONA DevOps and development teams. The engineer will also take part in executing reliability‑enhancement initiatives on the actual factory servers and will work with the call‑center support team to resolve production issues quickly. Key Responsibilities 1. System Operations & Deployment Support Support regular deployment of updated MES software versions to maintain stable system operation at the factory. Validate deployment results, report issues, and coordinate fixes with PCONA DevOps teams. 2. Daily Error Investigation & Troubleshooting Investigate daily error logs and system alerts, conduct initial analysis, and identify root causes. Work closely with PCONA DevOps and development teams to execute corrective and preventive actions. 3. Collaboration with Call Center for Production Issues Work with the corporate call‑center support team to analyze and triage production issues occurring at the factory. Perform technical investigation, isolate problems, and support rapid resolution. 4. Reliability Improvement Initiatives Assist in validating and executing system reliability improvements on local servers (Kafka, Redis, DB, Kubernetes, etc.) Provide feedback to PCONA based on on‑site observations and operational insights. 5. Communication and Documentation Coordinate with stakeholders regarding system updates, operational changes, and ongoing issues. Maintain documentation for procedures, troubleshooting steps, and deployment results. Support continuous improvement of operational workflows.
