Oracle OCI Security Implementation IT Project Manager
Worldwide
ORACLE OCI SECURITY IMPLEMENTATION — IT PROJECT MANAGER Contract · Fully Remote (US Eastern hours) · ~14 weeks · Start immediately ABOUT THE ROLE ---------------- Quantisage is a boutique, ISO 27001- and ISO 9001-certified Oracle/OCI consulting firm. We're hiring a senior IT Project Manager to run an active OCI Security, Governance & Compliance engagement for a higher-education client. This is a management role, not an engineering role. A senior OCI security engineering team executes the technical work — you own the project: scope, budget, schedule, client cadence, and deliverable acceptance. You won't write technical deliverables, but review them before client submissions and udpate wherever needed, but you need to speak OCI security fluently enough to run a gate review, pressure-test an engineer's estimate, and hold your own in a room with the client's InfoSec team. Team will be there to support and help, but looking up to you lead the project and the client conversations(non-technical). THE ENGAGEMENT ---------------- 🔹 Active, multi-domain OCI security hardening program — gated delivery model with milestone reviews every 3–4 weeks 🔹 Time & materials with a fixed not-to-exceed — budget discipline is a core part of this job 🔹 Runs through late October 2026 (~14 weeks), with strong potential for follow-on work and additional contract being worked on 🔹 Fully remote; must reliably overlap core US Eastern business hours · 25% allocation. WHAT YOU'LL DO ---------------- 🔹 Own scope, schedule, and budget — weekly budget-to-actuals tracking against the NTE, burn forecasting, early escalation 🔹 Run the weekly client cadence — status meetings, written status reports, action and decision tracking 🔹 Maintain the integrated project plan (MS Project), RAID log, and decision log 🔹 Plan and lead milestone gate reviews — drive deliverable acceptance and client sign-off 🔹 Coordinate the OCI security engineering team alongside client-side infrastructure, security, and analytics staff 🔹 Manage change control — flag scope drift early, quantify impact, draft change orders 🔹 Own QA and client-readiness of every deliverable — engineers own the content; you own completeness, consistency, and polish 🔹 Manage risks and dependencies across workstreams; remove blockers before they hit the critical path WHAT YOU'LL BE MANAGING ---------------- Your team delivers across these workstreams — you keep them on schedule, on budget, and signed off: 🔹 Cloud Guard detector/responder recipes with SIEM escalation into Splunk 🔹 Oracle Data Safe across ATP and ADW — discovery scans, masking, audit collection 🔹 OCI Vault key management (CMEK) and secrets management 🔹 OS-level vulnerability scanning 🔹 OCI tagging strategy, Budgets, Cost Analysis, and FinOps dashboards 🔹 Audit-ready compliance evidence framework (FERPA, GLBA, HIPAA, CIS) 🔹 Runbooks, playbooks, ADRs, and the Security Operations Runbook 🔹 Hands-on client training on Data Safe administration and FinOps governance REQUIRED ---------------- ✅ 5+ years IT project management · 3+ years managing cloud security or cloud infrastructure projects ✅ Client-facing consulting delivery experience with direct ownership of scope, schedule, and budget (T&M and/or fixed-fee) ✅ Working knowledge of OCI security services — Cloud Guard, Data Safe, Vault, IAM, tagging/FinOps — strong enough to run credible status and gate conversations (hands-on implementation not required) ✅ Experience managing technical engineering teams and holding them to estimates ✅ Working knowledge of at least one compliance framework: FERPA, GLBA, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, or CIS Benchmarks ✅ Strong written communication — status reports, gate presentations, RAID logs, change orders ✅ Proficiency with MS Project or equivalent scheduling tools STRONG PLUSES ---------------------- ⭐ PMP, PMI-ACP, or PRINCE2 certification ⭐ OCI Foundations or OCI Security Associate certification ⭐ Prior Oracle/OCI consulting or delivery background ⭐ FinOps Foundation Certified Practitioner ⭐ Higher education or public sector clients TO APPLY : Send the following: ------------------------------------ 1.
