Over the past year our average Google position improved from 41 to 17.5 — but our click-through rate actually dropped to 0.35%. We’re earning impressions and failing to convert them. Our read is that it’s a snippet problem — our titles and meta descriptions were written as keyword placeholders, not as copy that earns the click. We want a specialist to confirm or challenge that, then fix it. This is a comprehensive, own-the-outcome engagement — not a “rewrite this list” task. Phase 1 — Diagnose & optimize: • Review our Google Search Console data (we provide exports) across our pages • Identify which pages are genuinely worth optimizing for CTR — and tell us which ones aren’t. We know some pages rank too low for snippet copy to matter; we want your judgment on where the real opportunity is. • Set a target CTR for each page or cluster you select, at held ranking position • Rewrite the title tags and meta descriptions for those pages • Deliver a spreadsheet: URL, target query, current title/meta, your rewrite, target CTR, and your reasoning Implementation: We deploy the changes ourselves (no access needed on your end) and annotate the date in Search Console. Phase 2 — Measure & refine (~30 days later): • We provide the post-change GSC export • You review actual results against the targets you set, at constant position • You report what moved, what didn’t, and re-optimize the pages that underperformed This is NOT: full-service SEO, link building, content writing, ranking work, or a retainer. It’s snippet conversion copy backed by real measurement, from someone who treats organic CTR as a discipline. Method: One of our pages ranks position 8 for its main query but pulls only 0.40% CTR. The current title is generic. How would you approach the rewrite — and how do you write titles so Google doesn’t just override them in the results page? 2. Judgment: When you look at a set of pages a site ranks for, how do you decide which ones are actually worth optimizing for CTR versus which won’t respond to snippet changes no matter how good the copy is? 3. Proof: Show me one before/after from your own work — a page or set of pages where you changed the title/meta, rankings stayed roughly flat, and CTR moved. I want actual Search Console screenshots or a data table with real numbers, not a described case study. If you can’t show real before/after data, you’re not a fit for this project.
