Original wild mustang logo design - dimensional style, embroidery-ready
Worldwide
Here's the corrected job post — DST/PES fixed back to "not required," plus the earlier corrections (title, copyright framing, tail): Original wild mustang logo design — dimensional style, embroidery-ready We're an Australian outback workwear brand (navy). We need an original logo — a wild, rearing mustang, riderless — for our Outback workshirt range, embroidered at 2.5cm on a shirt chest/pocket, and within a circular badge design. The design problem, stated plainly: at this size, the mark cannot survive as a literal, detailed illustration. It needs to be an icon — a single, instantly-readable silhouette shape. Motion and drama should come from the outline — the raised front leg, the spread rear legs, the burst of the mane — not from internal detail. Reference images attached (rearing mustang silhouettes) for pose and energy — these are sourced from the internet and must not be traced or copied directly, to avoid any copyright issue. Use them as inspiration for pose and proportion, and design an original mark based on the specific elements below. Design principles: One unified silhouette — a single continuous outline from nose to tail, no floating or disconnected elements (no separate hoof shadows, detached mane wisps, etc.) Front leg raised, rear legs spread and kicked back — merge adjacent leg shapes where they overlap rather than rendering four separate thin limbs. Mane bursts upward and forward in jagged, asymmetric spikes. Tail — a strong tail with movement, use your discretion to balance the overall design. Single thread colour only — no tonal colour blocks. All depth and dimension comes from stitch direction and density, not colour separation (similar to how Ralph Lauren's embroidered polo player achieves shading through stitch direction, not flat colour). Deliverables: Hand-drawn concept artwork, plus final vector source file (AI/EPS/SVG) Design built with embroidery digitizing in mind — stitch direction, shading zones, and minimum gap widths planned into the linework Transparent PNG and print-ready versions Mockup at 2.5cm on navy fabric (chest/pocket placement) Not required: DST/PES digitizing file (separate job once approved) Context: Outback range — workshirts. The logo needs to hold up as a small, quiet brand mark worn daily, not a statement graphic. Please share portfolio examples of icon/emblem design — ideally something that shows you can take a complex reference and simplify it to a mark that works small. This is a reduction exercise more than an illustration one.
