PCB Design Review + JLCPCB/PCBWay Assembly-Ready Package for ESP32-C6 I2S Microphone Board
Worldwide
I have a draft PCB project for a small ESP32-C6 wildlife/bird-call microphone device and need an experienced PCB designer/electronics engineer to review, correct, and prepare it for manufacturing and assembly. The board is based on: ESP32-C6-WROOM-1U external antenna module ICS-43434 I2S MEMS microphone USB-C power/programming 3.3V regulator diagnostic pads power/status LEDs boot/reset buttons external antenna via the ESP32-C6-WROOM-1U module tapered microphone end for a 3D printed foam/windscreen adapter The firmware pinout should match this project: https://github.com/Sukecz/esp32-birdnet-mic I already have a draft EasyEDA/KiCad/JLCPCB/PCBWay package, but I need someone to professionally verify it and make it truly order-ready. Scope of Work Please review and complete the PCB design so it can be ordered fully assembled from JLCPCB and/or PCBWay. Tasks include: Schematic review Verify ESP32-C6-WROOM-1U wiring. Verify ICS-43434 I2S wiring. Verify USB-C power/programming circuit. Verify regulator, capacitors, resistors, LEDs, boot/reset buttons, and diagnostic pads. Confirm correct strapping/boot pins for ESP32-C6. Confirm no missing pullups/pulldowns. Confirm all nets are named clearly. PCB layout review Confirm board outline imports correctly. Board should be approximately 22 mm × 100 mm. Tapered/rounded microphone end should be suitable for a 3D printed windscreen/foam adapter. Microphone should remain at the top of the board. ESP32-C6 should remain toward the bottom. Check antenna clearance and keepout rules. Check USB-C connector orientation and mechanical placement. Check diagnostic pads are usable with probes. Check LED visibility and orientation. Noise/interference review Review I2S routing from ESP32-C6 to ICS-43434. Minimize digital noise near microphone. Use good grounding and decoupling practices. Confirm mic power decoupling is correct. Confirm no noisy traces run under/near the acoustic microphone port. Review use of ground pours, stitching vias, and layer stack. ICS-43434 microphone-specific checks Confirm the acoustic hole is correct for a bottom-port MEMS microphone. Confirm the microphone orientation is correct. Confirm the PCB hole is not covered by solder mask/paste. Confirm assembly notes tell the manufacturer not to wash, blow air into, or block the mic port. Confirm the foam/3D printed adapter will not seal or press directly against the acoustic port. Manufacturing package Generate final Gerbers. Generate drill files. Generate BOM. Generate CPL / pick-and-place / centroid file. Generate assembly notes. Generate PDF schematic. Generate 2D/3D board previews. Make files compatible with JLCPCB and PCBWay full assembly. Parts review Confirm all components are available or provide alternatives. Prefer parts that can be assembled by JLCPCB or PCBWay. ESP32-C6-WROOM-1U external antenna version is required. Do not substitute with the PCB antenna version unless discussed first. Confirm the ICS-43434 part is available or recommend a proper equivalent. Final order support Provide clear instructions for placing the order. Tell me exactly which files to upload. Tell me which settings to use for JLCPCB and/or PCBWay. Confirm whether the design should be panelized or ordered as individual boards. Review screenshots from JLCPCB/PCBWay before I click order, if needed. Deliverables Please provide: Final schematic source file Final PCB source file Gerber ZIP Drill files BOM CSV for JLCPCB CPL / pick-and-place CSV for JLCPCB BOM CSV for PCBWay Centroid file for PCBWay Assembly notes TXT/PDF PDF schematic Board preview images Short ordering guide List of any risks or recommended changes
