Summary

I am developing a compact, battery-powered IoT sensor device and am looking for an experienced PCB engineer to review my existing design and complete a production-quality PCB layout. The electrical architecture and schematic are substantially complete in EasyEDA, and I have created preliminary component placement. I have reached the routing stage and would prefer to have an experienced engineer independently review and professionally complete the board. This is not a blank-sheet design project. I am looking for someone who can review my existing work, identify and correct potential electrical or reliability issues, refine component placement, and complete the PCB layout. The design is based on an ESP32-S3 and includes single-cell LiPo operation, low-power regulation, USB-C, battery monitoring, analog and I²C peripherals, Wi-Fi connectivity, and external sensor connections. The device is intended to spend most of its time in deep sleep, waking periodically to collect sensor readings and transmit data over Wi-Fi. Low sleep current, reliable battery operation, and reliable ESP32-S3 operation are critical requirements. The current PCB is configured as a 2-layer board, but I am open to a 4-layer design if recommended during engineering review. Full schematics, design files, detailed product information, and mechanical requirements will be provided privately to selected candidates. Scope of work Independently review the existing schematic for electrical errors and reliability concerns. Review the complete battery and power architecture, including deep-sleep current consumption. Verify the ESP32-S3 implementation, boot/reset circuitry, decoupling, and power requirements. Review USB-C implementation. Review RF layout and ESP32 antenna requirements. Review battery-voltage measurement and analog circuitry. Review peripheral and sensor interfaces. Recommend and discuss necessary schematic corrections before routing. Refine component placement while respecting mechanical constraints. Determine whether a 2-layer or 4-layer design is appropriate. Complete professional PCB routing. Perform final ERC/DRC and DFM checks. Prepare the design for prototype fabrication and automated assembly. Return all editable design source files, along with manufacturing files including Gerbers, BOM, and pick-and-place/CPL files. I would also value optional support during initial prototype bring-up if hardware issues are discovered after assembly. Ideal experience I am particularly interested in engineers with demonstrated experience in: Battery-powered ESP32 or ESP32-S3 products Low-power and deep-sleep IoT devices Compact multilayer PCB design Wi-Fi/RF layout Single-cell LiPo power systems USB-C devices Automated PCB assembly and DFM Experience with EasyEDA and preparing designs for JLCPCB assembly is strongly preferred. When applying Please provide examples of relevant PCB designs you have completed, particularly battery-powered ESP32 or similar IoT products. Please also briefly describe: Your experience optimizing battery-powered designs for low deep-sleep current. Your experience with ESP32 RF and antenna layout. Your approach to reviewing an existing schematic before beginning PCB layout. Whether you can work in and deliver fully editable EasyEDA source files. Your estimated fixed price and turnaround time. Whether you can provide support during initial prototype bring-up. I am looking for an engineer who will independently verify the electrical design rather than simply route the existing schematic as-is.
