Packaging Designer — STEM Lab Product Range (4 SKUs, InDesign + AI Imagery)

About the project: We're producing a branded packaging range for a licensed STEM "Lab" product line aimed at a younger, science-curious audience. The range has four SKUs — Chemistry Lab, Botany Lab, Physics Lab, and Biology Lab. A master template has already been built using the Chemistry Lab box as the lead example. Your job is to first finish that Chemistry Lab file, then use it as the template to build out the remaining three SKUs to the same standard. This is hands-on production design work with a creative element: alongside layout and print prep, you'll generate AI experiment imagery and source stock backgrounds for each box. What you'll do: Phase 1 — Complete the Chemistry Lab file (the template) Place supplied icons into the packaging layout Drop in final copy across all text fields (copy will be provided) Generate AI experiment product images using Firefly. We'll give you an Excel sheet listing four experiments plus draft generation prompts as a starting point — expect to refine the prompts. Images go on the front panel and are reused on the side panels. They must be high quality, visually consistent, print-resolution, and suitable for a young science audience. Source one photographic background image relevant to chemistry from Shutterstock or Adobe Stock. It needs to sit comfortably behind text and design elements (nothing too busy or high-contrast) and be licensed for commercial use on product packaging. Do not purchase or download anything before sign-off — send the image title, stock library, and image ID for approval first. Phase 2 — Roll out the remaining three SKUs (Botany, Physics, Biology) Once Chemistry Lab is approved, repeat the exact same process for each remaining SKU: Swap in the correct icons and final copy (supplied per SKU) Generate and place AI experiment images using the prompts and spreadsheet provided for each Source and place an appropriate, approved background image for each subject Follow the Chemistry Lab template precisely for layout, typography, colour usage, and spacing Brand and design rules Primary font: Objektiv MK1 Clean, flat colour headers only — no textures or gradients unless specifically requested Maintain a clear, confident, educational tone throughout Do not use the brand tagline unless explicitly directed Follow the established template for placement and sizing — specs live in the template file Deliverables (per SKU) Packaged working files (InDesign or equivalent) with all linked assets collected High-resolution, print-ready PDF A record of all AI image prompts used and all stock image references sourced Skills we're looking for Adobe InDesign and packaging/print production (dielines, bleed, print-ready PDF export) Experience generating AI imagery (Adobe Firefly preferred) and refining prompts Comfort sourcing and licensing stock imagery (Shutterstock / Adobe Stock) Strong attention to detail and the discipline to match an existing template exactly To apply please include: A short note on your packaging/print experience Portfolio samples — ideally consumer packaging and any AI-assisted imagery work Confirmation you can work in InDesign and export print-ready files Your availability and expected turnaround for one SKU vs. the full set of four We'll start with Phase 1 (Chemistry Lab) as the proving step before greenlighting the remaining three SKUs.
