Packaging Production Artist (Adobe Illustrator, Philippines-based)
Worldwide
We're hiring a packaging production artist in the Philippines to execute precise, spec-driven updates to existing packaging — not to create new brands or visual identities. About the role You will work within an established brand and visual system for a global medical device accessories company focused on CGM adhesive patches for diabetes, selling in 65+ countries. Your primary job is to update, adapt, and extend existing packaging files in Adobe Illustrator so they remain accurate, compliant, and print-ready across multiple markets. What you'll do - Update packaging artwork with new regulatory text, symbols, warnings, addresses, UDI/barcodes, and e-label references, following detailed briefs and regulatory requirements. - Adapt existing designs across different SKUs, pack sizes, and regional/language variants while keeping layout, hierarchy, and style consistent. - Work strictly within existing dielines and templates; maintain correct bleeds, margins, cutter guides, and print specs. - Prepare and export clean, print-ready files (correct colour settings, resolution, fonts, layers) for manufacturing. - Make fast, accurate, and consistent revisions across many similar files, keeping track of versions and changes. Must-haves - Strong Adobe Illustrator skills, specifically for packaging and print-production workflows. - Hands-on experience with packaging/print production: dielines, bleeds, spot vs process colour, overprint, and print/export settings. - Very high attention to detail — regulatory and labelling text must be correct every time across all variants. - Comfort working from precise specs and checklists, with minimal "creative direction" and no brand invention. - Clear written English, reliable communication, and responsiveness across time zones. Nice-to-haves - Experience with regulated products (medical devices, pharma, food, cosmetics) and their labelling requirements. - Familiarity with barcodes and UDI, plus common ISO 15223-style symbols used in medical device packaging. - Experience laying out multi-language packs and managing language variants without introducing errors. - Practical version-control habits for keeping multiple similar files organized and aligned. How we work - Ongoing, part-time workload with a steady flow of update requests rather than one-off design projects. - Structured briefs supplied per task, with clear change lists and references. - Accuracy is valued over raw speed; we care more that every detail is correct than that something is done "quickly but loosely". Application checklist When you apply, please include: - Portfolio examples of packaging or print-production work created in Adobe Illustrator (ideally showing dielines, bleeds, and print-ready files). - A short note on any experience with regulated products (medical, pharma, food, cosmetics) and labelling requirements. - A clear confirmation that you are comfortable with spec-driven revision work (taking existing artwork and making precise updates) rather than original branding or creative concept work. - Your typical availability (hours per week, time zone, and preferred working times). Screening question Describe your process for keeping a set of 10-20 very similar packaging files consistent and error-free when applying a detailed list of changes (e.g., updated warnings, addresses, symbols, and barcodes) across all of them. What specific steps, tools, or checks do you use to avoid missed or inconsistent changes?
