Paid UX Audit + Foundational Design System Test for AzamPesa (Select 3 Professionals Only) Description: AzamPesa is a major mobile money platform in Tanzania. We are hiring a lead product designer for a massive, structural redesign. To find the right fit, we are running a paid evaluation phase. We will select exactly three candidates who demonstrate true professional-level design systems thinking. Each will be paid for a focused, rigorous deliverable. After review, we will choose one to lead the full redesign and ongoing design system ownership. We are not looking for “nice-looking” screens. We are looking for a designer who treats UI/UX as precise, measurable, production-ready architecture. What you must deliver (Paid Phase – Fixed Scope): This test is designed to take 6–8 hours. 1. Targeted UX Diagnosis (1 Flow) Evaluate the current Registration / Onboarding flow (we will provide an Android APK file so you can install and analyze the fully functional app). Provide a clear diagnosis identifying friction points, visual hierarchy issues, and consistency failures. 2. Sample System Tokens & Component Specs Define a clean, modern, trustworthy aesthetic with exact, measurable rules. This is non-negotiable. Color system: Exact HEX and RGB values for Primary, Neutral, Success, and Error scales with explicit usage rules. Typography scale: Defined sizes, weights, and line heights for Display, Heading, Body, and Caption levels. Spacing & Radius rules: Define your base grid scale (e.g., 4/8pt) and explicit corner radius rules in dp/px. Component specifications: Provide complete state variations (Default, Pressed, Disabled, Error, Loading) for 3 key components: Primary CTA Button, Standard Text Input field, and an OTP Input field. 3. High-Fidelity Mockups (2 Key Screens) Redesign two core screens from the Registration flow (e.g., Phone/NIDA ID Entry and OTP Verification). These mockups must be built strictly using the tokens and 3 components you defined above. No one-off styling. Mobile-first (consideration for both iOS/Android). 4. Deliverable Format A well-organized Figma file containing: a Design Tokens page, a Component Spec page, and an annotated Mockups/Audit page explaining your key decisions. Who should apply: Only professionals who already work at this level of rigor. If you normally deliver “beautiful screens” without exact tokens, measured components, and enforceable rules, do not apply. We will immediately see the difference in your Figma file structure. Portfolio must show real design systems with measurable rules (not just mood boards or UI concepts). Evidence of fintech, payments, or high-volume consumer product experience is highly preferred. Proposal must demonstrate you understand the difference between decoration and a production-ready design system. Selection of the final winner (after paid submissions): Precision, hygiene, and completeness of the Figma file and component specs. Consistency between your stated rules and the actual mockups. Quality and accuracy of the UX diagnosis. Ability to create a category-leading, trustworthy aesthetic suitable for Tanzanian users. Budget & Timeline for this paid phase: $500 fixed per selected candidate. Timeline: 3–4 days maximum after selection. In your proposal, include: Links to the strongest examples of design systems or highly systematic product work you have done. A short statement confirming you understand this test requires exact measurable rules (colors in HEX/RGB, radii in dp, multi-state specs). Your earliest start date.
