I'm building an AI-powered legal research and drafting assistant for lawyers. I need one senior designer to own the entire visual and product design layer, from brand identity through a complete, developer-ready design system. This is a high-trust product. Lawyers will judge it in the first ten seconds, so the design must feel premium, credible, and calm, not like a generic from ChatGPT or Claude. ** Scope and milestones ** * Brand identity -logo, color, typography, brand guidelines * UX flows and wireframes - core workflows: ask a legal question, review an answer with citations, work with uploaded documents * High-fidelity UI + clickable prototype - full web app screens in Figma, desktop and mobile responsive * Design system + marketing site design - component library with tokens/variants that developers can build from, plus the marketing/landing site You'll work directly with me (the founder). One decision maker, fast feedback, a written PRD provided on day one. **Must-haves** * Expert Figma skills, including components, variants, and auto layout * At least 2 shipped SaaS products in your portfolio where you owned the product design (not just marketing sites or Dribbble concepts) * Experience designing AI product interfaces: streaming/typing responses, inline citations or sources, document viewers, loading and error states * You deliver design systems developers can actually build from, not just pretty screens ** Process ** - Shortlisted candidates get a paid trial task : design one key screen (the AI answer view with citations) from a brief I'll provide.
