Paid Editing Test- Independent Feature Film

INDEPENDENT FEATURE FILM – PAID EDITING TEST Seeking an editor for a dramatic independent feature film currently in post-production. Before selecting a lead editor for the full feature, I am conducting a paid editing test with a small number of candidates. PROJECT Narrative Feature Film Drama Approximately 90 minutes Shot in Los Angeles DaVinci Resolve workflow preferred, but not required PAID TEST One dialogue-driven dramatic scene (approximately 3–5 minutes) Footage includes multiple camera angles and professionally recorded production sound Script pages and editorial notes will be provided Compensation: $150 for completed test edit WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR Strong storytelling instincts Ability to shape performances and emotional beats Natural pacing and scene construction Experience editing narrative films, short films, television, or feature films PLEASE SUBMIT Resume or brief background Editing reel Links to narrative work (preferred) Editing software used Availability over the next 2–3 months If selected for the test, additional details and footage will be provided. This is a paid evaluation for a potential feature editing position. The editor ultimately selected will be offered the opportunity to negotiate a contract for the complete feature film.
