Painterly Eagle Vectors & Full Scarf Layout
Worldwide
About the work I run a small art business built around my original acrylic wildlife paintings — sporting dogs, game birds, trout, fly-fishing subjects, and more. My work gets applied across a range of products: silk scarves, wallpaper, fabric and textile designs, and glassware. The most common work I need help with is converting high-resolution photographs of my original acrylic paintings into clean, vectorized artwork that preserves the character and paint texture of the original. I usually specify the color palettes. I'm looking for a creative, talented designer with a strong eye for translating painterly texture and brushwork into a vectorized format without losing the soul of the piece. This can grow into a long-term partnership with more work as my collection expands. This project: a custom scarf design This assignment is a custom scarf that celebrates team and regional pride. I already have the overall concept and the central artwork designed — the main creative work I need from you is developing the painterly eagle illustrations and assembling everything into one clean, print-ready scarf file. The scarf layout has three main elements: Greek key border — a repeating Greek key (meander) pattern running around all edges of the scarf. Corner eagles (the key creative work) — a painterly flying eagle in each of the four corners, developed from reference photos I will provide and rendered in my hand-painted style. Central crest — a shield-shaped crest I have already designed (four small icons in navy and white). I will supply this finished as a vector asset for you to place into the layout — you do not need to create it. Palette: navy and white (final color values provided). The painterly eagles should be rendered in tonal navy to match my artwork. I will also provide a Keynote file showing the intended scarf layout and inspiration. Style direction — painterly eagles The eagles are the artistic heart of this piece. I will provide (a) reference photos of eagles and (b) examples of my previous scarf designs that feature my own paintings and artwork. I want you to translate the eagle references into painterly vector illustrations that convincingly mimic my hand-painted style — visible brushwork, tonal shading, and organic edges — while staying clean, scalable vector art suitable for textile printing. This is not a flat, geometric, or logo-style eagle; it should read as a painting rendered in vector. Scope of this project Develop 4 painterly eagle vectors from my reference photos, matching my hand-brushed painterly style — one for each corner. Assemble the full scarf by combining the Greek key border, the four corner eagles, and my supplied central crest into a single, balanced, production-ready layout. Prepare for print — keep all critical detail inside the safe area and set files up to meet the manufacturer's imprint requirements. Deliver organized files with consistent, logical naming. Deliverables & file specs Layered vector master in Adobe Illustrator (.ai), plus exports in .eps and .svg, and a print-ready PDF with bleed and crop marks. Each of the four eagle illustrations delivered as its own isolated, reusable vector asset. Fonts outlined or provided; layers named and organized. Scarf template: final trim size 35" × 35" square at 100% scale, Color set up as navy + white for textile printing. What you'll receive A PDF file showing the intended scarf layout and inspiration High-quality reference photos of the eagles to base the painterly illustrations on Examples of my previous scarf designs featuring my own paintings and artwork (your style reference) The finished central crest as a vector asset to place into the layout The scarf print template and final color values Timeline You must be able to start right away. Initial design due Tuesday, August 25 — the sooner the better. Additional scarf or textile projects may follow on a schedule we agree on together. What I'm looking for Strong skills in digital illustration, vector conversion, or high-fidelity raster editing. A creative eye for preserving the character and paint texture of an original painting in a vectorized format. An eye for color harmony and design aesthetics, and comfort working to a specified color palette. An efficient worker who can turn assignments around reliably and hit deadlines. Perfect written and spoken English and clear, responsive communication (this is a must). Organized file delivery with consistent, logical naming. Genuine interest in a potential long-term partnership as the line grows. To apply, please tell me 1. A short note on your experience with vector conversion of paintings or detailed illustration, ideally where preserving texture/brushwork mattered. Please share relevant samples. 2. How you approach matching an existing painterly style in vector. 3. Confirm you can start immediately and can meet the Tuesday, August 25 initial due date. 4. Your estimate of the number of hours this scarf design will take. 5. Your hourly rate within the $15–$22 range. 6. Confirmation that you are fluent in written and spoken English.
