Summary

Employment Immigration Paralegal / Legal Assistant We are seeking an experienced Employment Immigration Paralegal / Legal Assistant to support our immigration matters. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience preparing, reviewing, and managing employment-based immigration cases from initiation through filing and post-filing follow-up. Key Responsibilities * Prepare and review H-1B petitions, including: * Initial/original petitions * Change of employer / transfers * Amendments * Extensions * Consular processing and change-of-status cases * Prepare and review L-1A/L-1B petitions and extensions. * Assist with O-1A extraordinary ability petitions, including organizing evidence, drafting support letters, recommendation/expert letters, and petition documentation. * Draft and review H-1B employer support/supplement letters, job descriptions, beneficiary documentation, and supporting evidence. * Review petitions for consistency across the LCA, forms, support letters, employment documents, educational documents, work locations, job duties, wages, and supporting exhibits. * Assist with employment-based Green Card processing, including: * Prevailing Wage Determinations * PERM case preparation * Recruitment and advertising * Recruitment documentation and audit files * ETA-9089 preparation/review * I-140 petitions * I-485 Adjustment of Status applications * Related I-765/I-131 filings * Review case documentation and identify missing, inconsistent, or potentially problematic information before attorney review. * Assist with RFE/NOID responses, including analyzing the notice, developing evidence checklists, organizing supporting documentation, conducting preliminary research, and preparing first drafts of responses for attorney review. * Maintain immigration case trackers, expiration dates, filing deadlines, priority dates, PERM recruitment timelines, and RFE deadlines. * Coordinate with employees, employers, HR/recruiting teams, attorneys, and other stakeholders to obtain required documentation. * Maintain organized electronic case files and ensure documentation is complete and filing-ready. Preferred Experience * 3–5+ years of U.S. business/employment immigration experience preferred. * Strong hands-on experience with H-1B, L-1, O-1A, PERM, I-140, and I-485 cases. * Strong experience drafting immigration support letters and assembling petition packages. * Experience handling PERM advertising/recruitment and recruitment documentation. * Experience preparing and assisting with RFE and NOID responses. * Experience reviewing cases for quality control before attorney review or filing. * Excellent written English, attention to detail, document-management skills, and ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously. * Experience working with immigration case-management software is preferred. Strong Preference – Immigration Litigation Candidates with immigration litigation experience are strongly preferred, particularly experience supporting attorneys with: * Federal immigration litigation * Mandamus / unreasonable-delay actions * Administrative Procedure Act (APA) matters * Complaints, exhibits, declarations, and litigation document preparation * USCIS-related federal court matters * Legal research and litigation support Important Role Expectation This position will function as a high-level immigration paralegal/legal assistant. The individual should be capable of independently preparing and conducting an initial quality review of immigration matters, while all legal advice, legal strategy, and final filing decisions remain subject to review and approval by qualified immigration counsel.
