Paralegal for Demand Letter Drafting

Description We’re a US legal-tech startup that produces attorney-reviewed demand letters delivered by certified mail at a flat fee. Every letter is reviewed and signed by our supervising attorney — that sign-off is our core product. We need a sharp paralegal to own everything before that review, so our attorney only spends time on legal judgment. You’ll work inside an AI-assisted drafting pipeline — this is drafting, refinement, and quality control, not writing every letter from scratch. What you’ll do: • Draft demand letters from customer intake using our templates and AI tools, then refine for accuracy, tone, and completeness • Organize and tag submitted evidence (contracts, receipts, photos, correspondence) • Verify the statute of limitations on every matter before any case-strength language is used; flag alternative theories (e.g. written-contract claims) when the obvious window has passed • Identify missing facts and route clarification questions through our intake portal • Package each letter for attorney final review and signature • Keep case records accurate in our systems (Airtable + web portals) You’re a fit if you have: • 2+ years paralegal / legal-assistant experience, ideally US demand letters, collections, small claims, landlord-tenant, or consumer disputes • Excellent, precise written English • Strong drafting instincts and real attention to detail • Comfort learning new software quickly (Airtable, portals, AI drafting tools) • Ability to manage a queue and hit turnaround targets with minimal oversight Nice to have: legal-tech or SaaS experience; familiarity with US statutes of limitations across states; comfort using AI tools (Claude/ChatGPT) in a drafting workflow.
