Paralegal for MVA Legal Case

We need to submit an Initial Report on the claim to the insurance adjuster. Drafting these reports is a critical part of the job, as they help the insurance company evaluate the claim and determine whether the matter should be settled or, if necessary, proceed to trial. Trial is relatively rare, but it does happen. This matter is currently pre-suit. There are no medical records or police reports available at this time, and the Claimant (Plaintiff) has not yet filed a Complaint. I have included a blank report form in PDF format so that you can see the information and categories the insurance company expects us to address. This is an MVA case. Our clients are LabCorp and the driver, Michael Florio, who was involved in the collision with the Plaintiff's vehicle. The Notice of Loss (NOL) file contains additional information regarding the vehicles. The second page of the NOL also includes our driver's description of how the accident occurred. Please note that the Date of Loss is the same as the date of the accident. You may copy the Sample File from a different case. It is the only file provided in Microsoft Word format, and you can use it as a framework for preparing this report. Please review all of the available documents carefully and, where appropriate, summarize the following: ISO Report Appraiser's Report Notice of Loss (NOL) Any other documents that appear relevant to the claim Not every document necessarily needs to be summarized in detail, but please review each file to determine whether it contains information that may be important to the evaluation of the case. Most importantly, please identify the strengths and weaknesses of our case, including any facts that may help or hurt our position. Please also provide your own recommendation as to whether the case should be settled or whether we should continue to defend the claim based on the information currently available. You may leave the Allegations section blank because the Complaint has not yet been filed. I understand that this is new to you, so please do your best to prepare the report based on the information available. The goal is to make a thoughtful and thorough initial assessment of the claim.
