Parametric CAD / Engineering Software Developer – Precast Concrete We are seeking an expert software developer / parametric modeler to develop software that automatically generates production-ready drawings for precast concrete structures.. The software will take user-defined dimensions and engineering inputs and automatically generate accurate, parametric drawings. Changes to dimensions, configurations, spacing, etc. should automatically update the resulting geometry and drawings. Project Requirements The system should ultimately: Accept variable dimensions and engineering inputs Generate parametric geometry and production drawings Automatically update drawings when parameters change Generate dimensions, notes, details, and standardized layouts Export to CAD/PDF formats Support an expanding library of precast products and configurations Include validation/error checking to maintain accuracy We Want Your Input We are intentionally not prescribing the technology or platform. We want the developer we hire to bring their own ideas and expertise to determine the best approach. Please provide your recommendation on whether the backbone of the system should be: AutoCAD / AutoCAD API SolidWorks / SolidWorks API A standalone parametric/engineering application AI-assisted design A hybrid approach Or another solution you believe is better We are looking for someone who can challenge our assumptions and explain why their recommended architecture is the best long-term solution. Ideal Candidate Experience with: Parametric CAD and automation AutoCAD API / C# / .NET SolidWorks API Engineering software development Automated drawing generation Civil/structural engineering workflows Precast concrete or construction detailing Please Include Relevant examples of similar projects you have completed Your recommended technical approach and why Your opinion on CAD vs. SolidWorks vs. standalone vs. AI/hybrid Proposed development phases, timeline, and estimated budget How you would make the system scalable for additional products and configurations We are looking for an engineering software development partner—not simply a CAD drafter.
