Part-Time Ads Specialist — eBay & Walmart (12–14 hrs/week) Job Type: Part-Time Contractor Hours: 12–14 hrs/week | Minimum 2 hrs worked per day Rate: $15/hr Experience Level: Experienced ABOUT THE ROLE We're Doc's Diesel, a diesel and automotive parts seller looking for an experienced marketplace advertising specialist to own and optimize paid campaigns on eBay (active, established account) and Walmart (recently launched account). This is a hands-on daily role — not a set-it-and-forget-it position. You'll manage bid strategy, campaign structure, and performance reporting across both platforms. Ad decisions will be informed by product margin tiers derived from our existing COGS data, so bids are optimized toward profitable SKUs rather than a flat ACoS target across all inventory. You'll report directly to our Marketplace Manager. Day-to-day optimizations within established parameters are yours to execute independently; any major changes with the potential to materially impact ACoS must be reviewed and approved by the Marketplace Manager before implementation. RESPONSIBILITES First Week • Audit the existing eBay and Walmart campaign structure and deliver a strategy plan to the Marketplace Manager for review and approval before any changes are made Daily • Review campaign performance dashboards on eBay and Walmart • Apply bid rules based on each product's individual goals — factoring in margin tier, sell-through targets, inventory levels, and COGS — not a one-size-fits-all approach • Monitor budget pacing and prevent overspend • Flag listing issues (suppressed listings, out-of-stock, policy holds) • Monitor platform algorithm updates and policy changes that could impact ad performance Weekly • Deliver a Monday morning report (Eastern Standard Time) covering the prior week (Monday–Sunday): "What Happened" (data summary) and "What Now" (recommended actions) • Analyze campaign data to craft insights and action plans that drive growth across both advertising performance and organic visibility • Optimize eBay and Walmart Sponsored Products bids and budget allocation toward ACoS and TACoS targets • Identify top and bottom performing SKUs • Conduct keyword research and manage match types to improve targeting efficiency across both platforms Monthly / Ongoing • Set Marketplace advertising strategy: own on-platform advertising strategy across Walmart and eBay — defining where to invest, where to pull back, and how to spend to map growth and profitability based on the goals of each category and product lifecycle • Refresh campaign structure and ad groups • Test new ad types (Promoted Listings Advanced, Walmart Sponsored Products, etc.) • Benchmark vs. category competitors • Build and manage ad strategy around platform promotional events (eBay sales events, Walmart Deals events) • Set performance targets for the following month • Deliver a month-over-month performance report covering both platforms REQUIREMENTS • Proven experience managing eBay Promoted Listings (Standard and Advanced) • Hands-on experience with Walmart Sponsored Products (Connect Ads) • Proficient in eBay Seller Hub and Walmart Seller Center • Proficient in Excel or Google Sheets for data pulls and performance reporting • Expert, hands-on knowledge of advertising campaign architecture, bidding, targeting, match types, budgets, and reporting • Strong command of advertising performance metrics (ACoS, TACoS, ROAS) and the ability to tie spend decisions to growth, profitability, and organic rank • Able to move seamlessly between strategic thinking and hands-on execution — building campaigns that reflect the plan, not just the platform defaults • Comfortable making ad decisions based on product-level goals — including COGS and margin tiers — rather than applying a flat ACoS target across all inventory • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing two varying Marketplace Ad Strategies • Ownership mindset — deep accountability for advertising performance • Able to respond to the Marketplace Manager within one business day Preferred: Experience selling or advertising in the eBay Motors / automotive parts & accessories category LOGISTICS • $15/hr | 12–14 hrs/week | Minimum 2 hrs worked per day • Asynchronous-friendly — no set hours, but daily work is expected • Weekly reporting required--Deliver a Monday morning report (Eastern Standard Time) covering the prior week (Monday–Sunday) • Long-term engagement — we're building toward Q4 and beyond TO APPLY Please include: • A brief overview of your eBay and Walmart advertising experience • A result you've driven — ACoS improvement, ROAS growth, or a successful account launch • Your availability and time zone
