Job description Canyon Consulting is looking for a part-time appointment setter / cold caller to help us book qualified meetings with small businesses. We help small businesses automate repetitive customer and admin work, starting with phone calls, follow-up, and intake. Our first outbound offer is an AI receptionist / missed-call recovery service that helps businesses answer calls, respond after hours, and follow up with leads faster. This is not a high-pressure sales role. You will not be expected to close deals. Your job is to start conversations, briefly explain the offer, qualify interest, and book short meetings with business owners or decision-makers. We are starting with a small paid trial and may expand into an ongoing monthly role if the fit is good. Responsibilities • Call small businesses from a provided lead list • Introduce Canyon’s AI receptionist / missed-call recovery service • Ask basic qualification questions • Leave voicemails when appropriate • Send simple follow-up messages when needed • Book interested prospects for a short meeting • Keep clean notes on call outcomes, objections, and follow-up needs • Provide a short daily activity summary Ideal candidate You should be: • Comfortable making outbound calls to small business owners • Clear, natural, and professional on the phone • Able to follow a script without sounding robotic • Good at handling “not interested” politely • Organized with notes and follow-up • Reliable and responsive • Fluent in English Prior experience with any of the following is a plus: • Appointment setting • Cold calling • Local small business sales • Home services, dental, med spa, legal, accounting, insurance, real estate, or professional services • B2B lead generation • Calling owners, office managers, or practice managers The offer you’ll be calling about The first campaign is focused on one simple pain point: │ Many small businesses miss calls, respond too slowly to leads, or overload their front desk. Canyon helps solve that with a secure AI receptionist that can answer calls, handle common questions, collect information, and route or book next steps. The goal is to book qualified meetings with businesses that may have missed-call, front-desk, intake, or follow-up problems. Trial structure We will start with a 5–10 hour paid trial. If the trial goes well, this can expand to a 30-day pilot of 40–60 hours, with the possibility of ongoing work. Compensation Hourly pay plus possible bonus for qualified meetings held. Suggested structure: • Hourly: 20–30/hr depending on experience • Bonus: 50–100 per qualified meeting held We can discuss final terms based on experience. What counts as a qualified meeting A qualified meeting is with a business owner, partner, office manager, practice manager, or decision-maker who has a real potential need around one or more of the following: • Missed calls • After-hours calls • Front desk overload • Slow lead follow-up • Client/customer intake • Appointment booking • Repetitive customer questions • Hiring or struggling to hire receptionist/admin/front desk staff To apply Please include: 1.
