Part-Time Customer Support Agent - Email/Chat, Multi-Brand E-commerce

Kaikoku is a Tokyo-based e-commerce and digital operations agency. We handle customer support for brands selling between Japan and the rest of the world, and we are building our roster ahead of upcoming client work. This starts with a short paid test project, with ongoing per-task work as new clients come on board - flexible and recurring rather than fixed daily hours. What you would do: Answer customer emails and DMs for e-commerce brands, in each brand's voice Handle order questions, returns, product queries, and general inquiries Use good judgment on when to resolve vs. escalate Work within a helpdesk tool (Gorgias, Zendesk, Help Scout, or similar) What we are looking for: Excellent written English with a warm, clear, professional tone Sound judgment, especially with unhappy customers Experience with a helpdesk/support tool Reliable and responsive We are in Tokyo and you would be about an hour behind us, so there is good overlap.
