Part-Time QA Engineer for iOS/Android Consumer Video Streaming App

We are looking for a part-time QA engineer to help us test our consumer video streaming app on iOS and Android phones/tablets. We are a small startup building a streaming platform with original series and movies. We need someone who can help us run recurring QA as we release new features and make sure we do not introduce regressions. Current platforms: iOS app Android app Phones and tablets Web may be added later TV apps are planned, but not launched yet You do not need to personally own every device. We can provide access to remote device providers such as BrowserStack or similar services if needed. Main responsibilities: Test release candidates before we ship Run regression tests on iOS and Android Test auth flows, onboarding, payments/subscriptions, streaming, playback, saving series, browsing, and account flows Re-test bug fixes Create and maintain a practical regression checklist Report bugs clearly with steps to reproduce, expected result, actual result, device/OS/app version, screenshots, and screen recordings Help us identify which tests should become automated later Important areas to test: Signup/login/auth flows Subscription/payment flows Onboarding Video playback start Resume playback Playback controls Buffering/network issues Saving/favoriting series Series/movie browsing App backgrounding/foregrounding Tablet layouts Different iOS/Android versions and screen sizes Nice to have: Experience testing video streaming apps, OTT apps, media apps, or apps with video playback Experience with BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, LambdaTest, Firebase Test Lab, or similar Experience with TestFlight and Google Play internal testing Experience with Jira, Linear, GitHub Issues, TestRail, Qase, or similar Future experience with Android TV, Apple TV/tvOS, Roku, Fire TV, Samsung Tizen, or LG webOS is a plus, but not required right now Expected workload: Start with 10–20 hours/week Ongoing part-time work if the collaboration goes well We would like to begin with a small paid trial task Please include in your application: Examples of mobile apps you have tested Whether you have tested video, streaming, media, or subscription/payment apps before Which devices you personally have access to Which remote device platforms you have used An example of how you would structure a bug report Your availability and hourly rate Whether you are comfortable helping maintain a regression checklist over time
