Part-Time Financial Modeling Analyst (Startup / Marketplace / E-Commerce) We’re building a new marketplace business and are looking for a sharp financial modeling analyst to work directly with the founders. This is not a bookkeeping or accounting role. You’ll build and maintain the financial models that help us make strategic decisions and prepare for potential fundraising. What you’ll work on Build an integrated operating model in Excel or Google Sheets Model multiple business strategies including: Marketplace (seller fulfills orders) Inventory ownership + 3PL fulfillment Hybrid approaches Develop 3-5 year P&L, cash flow and balance sheet projections Model ramp-up costs, hiring plans and capital requirements Build scenario and sensitivity analyses Analyze unit economics, contribution margins and break-even points Create investor-ready dashboards and assumptions models Update models as we validate product-market fit and our strategy evolves We’re looking for someone who has experience with Financial modeling Marketplace or e-commerce businesses 3PL and fulfillment economics Startup operating models Excel (advanced) Google Sheets Strong analytical thinking Bonus experience Shopify Amazon Marketplace Consumer products Investment banking Private equity Venture capital Search funds Startup finance Engagement Part-time (approximately 10-15 hours/week to start) Remote Flexible schedule Potential for a long-term relationship as the business grows To apply Please include: A brief description of the most sophisticated financial model you’ve built.
