Part-Time Inventory Planner / Inventory Management Specialist (CPG) Overview We're a consumer packaged goods (CPG) company looking for an experienced, part-time Inventory Planner to own the supply side of our Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process. This is an ongoing role replacing a long-tenured team member, so we're looking for someone reliable who can step in, get up to speed quickly, and keep our forecast and replenishment running smoothly. What you'll do Own and maintain the supply-side inputs to our monthly S&OP process Build and update demand/supply forecasts at the SKU level Set and manage reorder points, safety stock, and purchase order timing to avoid stockouts and overstock Monitor inventory positions across SKUs and flag risks or imbalances Translate forecast changes into actionable replenishment recommendations Partner with the broader team to keep planning assumptions current What we're looking for Hands-on inventory planning (IP) experience in a CPG or physical-product business — this is a must-have, not a nice-to-have Strong Excel / Google Sheets modeling skills Solid grasp of S&OP fundamentals and forecasting methods Detail-oriented, self-directed, and comfortable owning a recurring process with minimal oversight Clear communicator who can summarize the "so what" behind the numbers Logistics ~5–10 hours per week, varying with the planning cycle (heavier around monthly S&OP, lighter otherwise) Ongoing / long-term engagement To apply Tell us briefly about your inventory planning experience in CPG, the planning tools you've used, and how you've supported an S&OP process.
