Part-Time Reel Editor (Monthly Retainer)

I’m looking for a reliable video editor to help me produce about 30 reels per month for my clients. I will provide the raw footage, creative direction, and file organization. Especially at the beginning, I’ll rename and organize footage to help indicate which clips belong together and what each reel should focus on. Most reels are straightforward edits that range from 7–20 seconds. Each month may also include 4 longer reels in the 30–60 second range. Responsibilities • Edit 30 reels per month in CapCut • Select music/audio for each reel from relevant audio on social media (unless I provide a specific audio) • Follow creative direction and/or style of existing social media footage • Deliver organized CapCut project files and exported videos • Communicate clearly and ask questions when needed • Make recommendations when you see opportunities to improve a reel What I’m Looking For • Efficient editor who can work quickly without sacrificing quality • Strong understanding of short-form content and pacing • Reliable communication and consistent turnaround times • Comfortable working independently • Creative enough to suggest improvements while still following direction Nice to Have • Experience with social media content strategy • Copywriting experience • Interest in growing into a larger role over time About the Work Currently, I batch content by going on-site every couple of months, capturing a large amount of iPhone footage, and then creating content from that footage. I have a list of content to make from that - some are clear plans and some are loose / depend on what I am able to capture. As my client base grows, there will be opportunities for additional work and potentially expanded responsibilities in content strategy and copywriting.
