Part-Time Senior Family Law Paralegal

We are a boutique Indiana family law firm seeking a highly experienced, meticulous Senior Family Law Paralegal for a part-time, long-term freelance role. This position will be 10-20 hours per week with a consistent salary based on the 10 hour/week scenario. This position is designed for a self-sufficient professional who acts as a true relief to the managing attorney, not a management burden. If you require minimal supervision, possess an ironclad grasp of Indiana family law, and take pride in flawless, trial-ready work product, we want to hear from you. A TEAMWORK mentality and strong work ethic is required as you will be working closely with the Office Manager as well as a full time Receptionist. A work style that embraces and helps develop systems and delegations, in collaboration with the Attorney and his long term staff, are also required. Scope of Work & Hours Hours: Up to 20 hours per week, with occasional overflow as case volumes dictate. Availability: Must be available for communication and task turnaround during standard business hours (Central Standard Time - CST), Monday through Friday. The ability to meet deadlines and turnaround time is mandatory. Location Flexibility: This is a 100% remote position. We are open to sharing your time with another family law attorney, provided they do not practice in or compete within our specific jurisdiction (Indiana: Lake, Porter, LaPorte, and Starke counties). Key Responsibilities: Draft complex family law pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses, and financial declarations specific to Indiana jurisdiction. Conduct thorough legal research and case analysis for divorce, paternity, child custody, support, and asset division matters. Maintain flawless data integrity and case tracking within our firm management tools. Review and proofread all documents to ensure they are completely accurate and ready for attorney signature with zero oversight. CRM maintenance and potentially CRM management after probationary period. Required Qualifications & Tech Stack: Experience: Minimum 5+ years of dedicated family law experience (Indiana-specific law is a massive plus, but a proven track record of mastering state-specific family law codes rapidly is acceptable). Tech Proficiency: Advanced experience with 8AM-MyCase CRM. Expert-level command of Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive) as well as MS Office, specifically Outlook. Skills: Exceptional written communication, an analytical mindset, and an extreme eye for detail. Proofreading skills are a must.
