Part-Time QA Tester (SaaS) — Web App Testing + Client Onboarding Support

About us We build B2B SaaS for the food and beverage industry. Our platforms serve thousands of restaurants, distributors, and hospitality venues, handling procurement, ordering, and inventory workflows. We are a small, fast-moving engineering team, and we are looking for a detail-obsessed QA tester to help us ship faster and onboard new clients cleanly. The role Right now, QA is our bottleneck. Features are ready to ship, but manual verification slows us down. We want a reliable part-time tester who can own the testing loop so engineering can move faster, and who can also help validate new client setups during onboarding. This is a hands-on role for someone who catches the bugs before customers do, writes crystal-clear repro steps, and communicates directly without a lot of hand-holding. What you'll do Test new features and bug fixes across our web applications before release Write and maintain test cases and regression checklists for core workflows (ordering, catalog, inventory, account setup) Perform cross-browser and cross-device testing File clean, reproducible bug reports with steps, expected vs actual behavior, screenshots, and environment details Do quick smoke and regression passes on a predictable turnaround so releases are not blocked Support new client onboarding: validate imported catalogs and account configurations, verify data accuracy, and confirm the client's setup works end to end before go-live Flag UX issues and inconsistencies you notice while testing, not just hard bugs Required skills 2+ years of hands-on QA / manual testing experience for web applications, ideally SaaS Strong test case design and a systematic approach to regression testing Clear written communication and precise bug reporting (Jira, Linear, GitHub Issues, or similar) Comfort testing APIs with Postman or similar tools High attention to detail and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision Reliable availability and fast, predictable turnaround Nice to have Experience with test automation (Playwright, Cypress, or similar) Familiarity with basic SQL for verifying data Experience with data validation or client onboarding / implementation work Comfort working alongside AI tools in a testing workflow Background in food service, hospitality, or e-commerce platforms
