Part-Time Virtual SDR (Builder & Contractor Sales) 20 Hours/Week | Remote | Long-Term Opportunity About Burning Wood Emporium Burning Wood Emporium is a premium online fireplace supplier serving builders, contractors, remodelers, architects, and interior designers across the United States. We specialize in helping professionals source fireplaces for residential and commercial projects while providing expert product recommendations, technical guidance, and competitive pricing. We're growing quickly and are looking for a motivated Sales Development Representative (SDR) to help us expand our network and consistently generate new business opportunities. About the Role This is a true outbound sales position. You will be contacting builders, contractors, remodelers, and construction companies from lead lists that we provide. Your primary objective is to identify the right decision-maker, introduce our company, uncover current or upcoming projects, and create qualified sales opportunities. Some builders may have an active project today and need pricing immediately. Others may not need anything for several months. Both outcomes are valuable. If there is an active opportunity, your goal is to move it forward quickly. If not, your goal is to build the relationship, stay in touch, and ensure Burning Wood Emporium is the first company they think of when a fireplace is needed. What You'll Do Make outbound cold calls to builders and contractors Find and speak with the person responsible for purchasing fireplaces or building materials Introduce Burning Wood Emporium and explain how we help builders simplify fireplace sourcing Identify current projects that require fireplaces Ask qualifying questions about timelines, budgets, and project types Generate interest and schedule calls with the owner when technical discussions or quoting are needed Follow up consistently with prospects who aren't ready today Build long-term relationships with builders for future projects Send professional follow-up emails after conversations Maintain accurate notes in our CRM/spreadsheet Keep your sales pipeline organized and updated How Our Sales Process Works We believe every call should accomplish one of two things: 1. Generate Immediate Business If a builder has an active project: Learn about the project Gather the important details Introduce our capabilities Schedule a call or hand the opportunity directly to the owner for quoting and technical assistance OR 2. Create Future Business If they don't have a project today: Build rapport Learn about their business Become their go-to fireplace supplier Follow up regularly until the opportunity arises Most builders complete multiple projects each year. Hand qualified opportunities to the owner for technical guidance, quoting, and closing while continuing to strengthen the customer relationship. The ideal SDR is a hunter who enjoys opening doors, creating opportunities, and building a pipeline that generates repeat business—not just one-time sales.
