Part-time French Tutor (K12 International Curriculum)

Job Brief We are seeking an experienced and qualified French language specialist to deliver foreign language courses for international student(1 on 1). Our students are from K12 international education system, and we focus on long-term stable cooperation with language educators. The courses are delivered online via ClassIn platform. Qualification Requirements 1. Educational Background 1. Bachelor’s degree or above in French-related majors, including French Language & Literature, Applied French, French Education, French as a Foreign Language (FLE), French Translation and other relevant disciplines. 2. Candidates with a master’s degree from prestigious universities in France and other French-speaking regions (Sorbonne University, University of Paris 3, University of Lyon 3, Université de Montréal, etc.) will be given priority. 3. Bonus points for candidates with double degrees in Education, TESOL, Sociology and other humanities-related disciplines. 2. Language Proficiency 1. French Language: Possess DALF C1 / DELF B2 or higher certification; DALF C1 is preferred. TCF/TEF C1 certification is also acceptable. 2. English Language: Equivalent to IELTS 7.0+, TOEFL 100+ or CET-6 qualification. Candidates need to be capable of preparing teaching materials and communicating with students in full English. 3. Teaching Certifications & Professional Competencies 1. Hold officially recognized FLE (Français Langue Étrangère) teaching certification; this credential is a major advantage. 2. Priority will be given to educators who own IB MYP French examiner certificate or completed official IB MYP professional training. 3. Familiar with CIE/Edexcel French syllabus, with relevant teaching or examiner experience is preferred. 4. In-depth understanding and rich experience in mainstream French assessment and curriculum systems: DELF/DALF, TCF, TEF, A-Level French and IGCSE French. 4. Teaching Experience 1. Minimum 2 years of working experience in delivering French as a second language at international schools or bilingual schools (preferred). 2. Proficient in curriculum design, academic assessment and differentiated teaching for IB MYP/DP, IGCSE and A-Level French courses. 3. Preference for candidates with overseas teaching experience, overseas exchange experience or internship experience in local French educational institutions. 5. Core Job Competencies & Responsibilities 1. Able to conduct French lessons in bilingual (English & Chinese) or full-English mode, and adapt to the learning rhythm of international K12 students. 2. Independently develop course courseware based on designated textbooks, assign targeted homework, and provide detailed correction & professional feedback to students. 3. Integrate French and Francophone cultural knowledge into daily teaching, and guide students to develop cross-cultural communication abilities. 4. Maintain smooth daily communication with our team and students’ families in English, and regularly deliver detailed students' learning reports. 5. Recognize modern international education philosophies; adept at project-based learning and inquiry-based learning, and create interactive and engaging classroom atmosphere. 6. All lessons are held on the ClassIn online teaching platform. Candidates are required to actively learn and master all essential platform functions to ensure smooth online classes.
