Part-time Web Support (Laravel / Python / VPS) – Long-term

Description: I run a sports photo website where we process tens of thousands of images after events. I’m looking for a reliable part-time developer (ideal for a student or junior) who can not only monitor and support the system, but also help improve and evolve it over time. Your responsibilities: Run and monitor Laravel 12 project when needed Work with MariaDB (basic queries, checks) Execute and manage Python scripts for photo processing Manage Ubuntu VPS via SSH (logs, services, restarts) Be available on weekends / occasionally Monday in case something needs fixing Actively work on improvements and updates of the system implementing small features improving workflows integrating or updating scripts optimizing existing processes Important clarification: I usually run the system myself You are not just “on-call support” Your role is also to help improve and develop the project over time Work schedule: ~3–4 hours per weekend (flexible) Occasional availability on Monday if needed Long-term cooperation Requirements: Basic Laravel / PHP knowledge Basic Python knowledge Linux / SSH basics (Ubuntu) Ability to work independently and suggest improvements Reliability and responsiveness Nice to have (BIG PLUS): Interest in AI / Computer Vision (face detection, object detection, image processing) Payment: Fixed monthly: $150–250 Stable long-term work Why this is interesting: You will gain real experience with: AI image processing (faces, bib numbers detection) Large-scale datasets (50k+ images) Real production system (not just school project) Improving and scaling a real-world application To apply: Send a short message: your experience with Laravel / Python your experience with Linux / VPS examples of anything you built or improved
