About the role We're a construction and healthcare cleaning company based in Ohio, and we're looking for an experienced HR Partner to own recruiting, onboarding, and training administration for our growing team. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role — you'll be running the day-to-day HR operations that keep our hiring pipeline moving and our compliance recordkeeping airtight. This starts as a 6-month engagement with the potential to become an ongoing or permanent role for the right person. What you'll do Recruiting: -Post open roles across job boards and manage postings through their lifecycle -Screen incoming resumes and applications -Conduct initial phone/video screening interviews -Shortlist qualified candidates and present them to management for hiring decisions Onboarding: -Coordinate new hire onboarding end-to-end -Order and track drug tests and background checks -Complete required US employment compliance documentation, including I-9s and E-Verify -Maintain meticulous, organized digital records for every hire Training: -Formalize our existing training materials into consistent, repeatable programs -Identify gaps and build out new training content where none currently exists -Administer training to employees and track completion -Keep detailed, accurate records of training execution and compliance What we're looking for -Must be fluent in both English and Spanish (written and spoken) -Proven experience in HR recruiting and/or onboarding, ideally in a hands-on operational role -Working knowledge of US employment compliance requirements (I-9, E-Verify, background check/drug test coordination) -Strong organizational skills and comfort maintaining detailed digital records -Experience building or formalizing training programs is a plus -Construction industry recruiting experience is a plus -Self-directed and reliable working remotely on an hourly basis Engagement details Contract length: 6 months, with the possibility of extending into a permanent position Pay: Hourly — please propose your rate Hours: To be discussed based on candidate availability and workload needs To apply, tell us about your experience with recruiting/onboarding and US employment compliance (I-9/E-Verify), and share any relevant background in construction or healthcare-adjacent industries.
