Patent / IP Paralegal ABOUT THE ROLE Clear Gene is an innovation-driven company focused on advancing genetic testing solutions, including work related to breast cancer risk and detection. As we continue building and protecting our IP portfolio, we’re looking for a Patent / IP Paralegal who thrives in fast-moving environments, takes ownership seriously, and keeps critical deadlines on track. Clear Gene moves fast, and we need our IP operations to keep pace. This is a remote, flexible engagement ideal for someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating in a growing company where processes are still evolving. WHAT YOU'LL DO -Prepare, coordinate, and track U.S. and international patent filings and related documentation -Manage filing calendars, deadlines, and correspondence associated with patent matters -Coordinate between attorneys, inventors, outside counsel, and third-party partners -Organize and maintain IP records, case files, and supporting documentation -Track and support an active patent portfolio and ongoing innovation pipeline -Handle document intake, collection, and administrative functions related to patent activity -Keep filings, communications, and records accurate and current at all times QUALIFICATIONS Must Have: • Prior experience in patent, IP, or legal support roles • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail • Ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously • Clear written and verbal communication • Comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment Nice to Have: • Familiarity with U.S. and international patent filing workflows (USPTO, PCT, EPO) • Experience with legal docketing or IP management software • Background in biotech, life sciences, or tech IP • Paralegal certificate or relevant legal training WHO YOU ARE • You proactively identify gaps and keep work moving without needing constant direction • You are highly organized and dependable when managing sensitive deadlines • You communicate clearly and early, especially when priorities shift • You’re comfortable operating in a growing company where processes are still being built SCREENING QUESTIONS 1.
