Patternmaker Needed – Reusable Pad Construction & Sewing Efficiency

We sew in-house with a small team at home-sewing scale, using stretch knit fabrics in a layered construction: printed topper, absorbent core, and waterproof backer, sewn into a curvy pad shape with wings. I want to redesign this product for maximum production efficiency while maintaining quality and performance. Our current process is inefficient in several ways: hand-tracing the pattern onto fabric, trimming seam allowances after stitching, and turning the piece right-side-out before topstitching. I'm open to a different construction approach entirely, as long as it can realistically be sewn at home or small-team scale right now, not on industrial factory equipment. Longer-term, I may move production to a small factory, which would involve creating a tech pack. I'd welcome someone who can keep that future direction in mind, even though the near-term redesign needs to stay home-sewable. You'd be working directly with me one-on-one, not handed off to a team. No fixed deadline, but I'm hoping to start within the next few weeks. For this first phase, I'm looking for a short paid consultation to walk through my current construction and goals, followed by your initial recommendations on a more efficient construction approach. If that goes well, we can scope out a larger project together. Looking for someone with hands-on experience in multi-layer or quilted sewn products, ideally with stretch/knit fabrics and curved shapes. Experience with cloth diapers, activewear, or other layered technical sewn products is especially relevant.
