About the Role We're looking for a video editor who lives at the intersection of creative instinct and performance data. You'll own the production of Meta ad creative for our e-commerce brand — working fast, testing constantly, and proactively bringing ideas to the table rather than waiting for a brief. This isn't a traditional editing role. You'll be digging through our content archives, spotting angles we haven't tried, and turning raw footage into ads that stop the scroll. What You'll Do Edit high-volume Meta ad creative (Reels, Stories, feed video) optimised for direct response Work proactively with the team to generate creative concepts and angles — don't wait to be briefed Comb through our existing footage library to surface underused assets and repurpose them into new ad variants Build multiple hook variations and cut tests for each concept Use AI video tools (Runway, CapCut AI, Pika, or similar) to accelerate production and extend what's possible with existing footage Track your own creative performance — know which hooks held, which didn't, and feed that back into the next batch Deliver polished, platform-native exports ready for upload with no handholding What We're Looking For Must-haves: A portfolio of performance creative — not just beautiful work, but ads you can speak to in terms of results Fast turnaround workflow: you should be comfortable producing multiple variants per week, not one polished piece per month Deep understanding of Meta ad formats, specs, and what makes someone stop scrolling Native fluency with AI video editing tools — you're already using them, not learning about them Strong instinct for pacing, hooks, and the structure of a direct response ad (problem → solution → CTA) Proactive communication style — you bring ideas, flag opportunities, and don't go quiet waiting for direction Nice to have: Experience shooting your own footage for quick-turnaround content Background working in-house at a DTC brand or growth-focused creative agency Familiarity with the plant care or home/garden category What Good Looks Like You spot a 30-second clip in our archive from 6 months ago, recut it with a new hook, add AI-generated B-roll, and ship three variants by end of week — one of which becomes a top performer.
