Personal Injury Intake & Pre-Lit Case Manager (Remote) — Excellent English Phone Skills Required
Worldwide
Busy Chicago-area personal injury law firm (30 years in practice) needs a remote intake specialist / pre-litigation case manager. This is a phone-heavy role. If you don't love talking to people on the phone, this is not for you. What you'll do: - Answer and return calls from new leads FAST — speed matters. You'll call new leads within minutes, screen the case using our intake tool, and get retainers signed electronically. - Make scheduled status calls to existing clients so they always know where their case stands. - Open new files: letters of representation to insurance companies, request police reports, set up the file in our case management system (FileMaker — we'll train you). - Order medical records and bills, track client treatment status, and follow up until records arrive (you'll coordinate with our records VA). - Flag files when treatment is complete and assemble everything the attorney needs to prepare a settlement demand. What we need from you: - Excellent spoken English and a warm, professional phone manner. You'll be talking to injured people who are stressed and to insurance adjusters who are not friendly. - Available during Chicago business hours (Central Time), Monday–Friday. - Reliable quiet workspace, good headset, fast internet. - Organized and self-directed — you'll manage dozens of open files without being reminded. - Plaintiff personal injury experience strongly preferred (intake, case management, or pre-litigation work at a US PI firm). Will consider strong customer-service/sales background with medical or insurance exposure. - Confidentiality is non-negotiable. You'll sign a confidentiality agreement and follow HIPAA-level handling of medical records. Hours: Starting ~20–30 hrs/week with growth to full-time for the right person. Long-term role — we want someone who stays. To apply, answer these questions: 1. Attach a voice recording (60–90 seconds) introducing yourself as if you were answering a call from a new client who was just in a car accident. This is required — applications without a recording will not be considered. 2. Describe your experience with US personal injury cases, if any. Which firm, what role, how long? 3. What hours (Central Time) are you available Monday–Friday? 4. Have you used FileMaker, Clio, Filevine, or similar case management software? 5. A new lead comes in: rear-ended at a stoplight two days ago, went to the ER, has State Farm. What are the first three questions you ask? (Short answers fine.) Thanks and I look forward to hearing from you.
