Phone & VPN Setup Specialist — Remote Staffing Integration (Medical Practices) Title: Phone & VPN Setup Specialist — Remote Staffing Integration (Medical Practices) Description: We're a healthcare staffing company (Coordinators) that places remote administrative and billing professionals with U.S. medical practices. When a practice hires one of our staffers, we need someone to help the doctor's office configure their phone system and network access so the remote staffer can function as part of their front desk/back office. What you'll do: - Work directly with doctors/office managers to configure call routing (e.g., forward calls to the remote staffer after a set number of rings, or route all incoming calls directly to them) - Set up VPN access so the remote staffer can securely connect to the practice's systems (EMR, phone system, shared drives) - Troubleshoot common phone system platforms used by small medical practices (RingCentral, Vonage, 8x8, traditional PBX, etc.) - Walk non-technical office staff through simple setup steps via phone/screen-share - Document each client's setup so we have a repeatable reference What we're looking for: - Experience with VoIP/phone system configuration (call forwarding, routing rules, extensions) - Experience setting up VPNs for small business/remote access use cases - Comfortable explaining technical steps to non-technical users (doctors, office managers) - Patient, clear communicator — many clients are not tech-savvy - Available for scheduled onboarding calls with U.S.-based medical practices Nice to have: - Familiarity with healthcare office environments or HIPAA-related access considerations - Experience with common medical phone/VoIP providers Scope: This will likely start as project-based/on-call work tied to new client onboarding, with potential to grow into an ongoing arrangement as we bring on more practices.
