Photo background removal

Summary

I have a client with over 200 photos of jewelry she has designed. She is interested in determining if it would be possible to remove the (white) backgrounds from all of these pictures so that there is only a transparent background instead. I know you can do this, but would you also be able to keep (or re-create) the shadows and the reflections? I'm attaching 2 low resolution examples of existing images. Possible?
