Pinterest Marketing Manager – Strategy, Creative & Growth
Worldwide
We’re looking for an experienced Pinterest Marketing Manager to take ownership of an established Pinterest account for an education-focused e-commerce business. This is a strategy + execution role. You’ll be responsible for growing Pinterest as a marketing channel and driving qualified traffic to our products and website. The role will start at 8–10 hours/week, with the potential for increased hours and long-term work. Responsibilities: - Develop and execute our Pinterest strategy - Plan campaigns around priority products, content, promotions, and seasonal opportunities - Conduct Pinterest keyword and search-intent research - Create all pin graphics in Canva, including creative variations for testing - Write optimized pin titles, descriptions, hooks, and CTAs - Manage the content calendar, scheduling, and publishing through Tailwind/Pinterest - Continuously test and optimize creative, copy, keywords, and campaigns - Identify new Pinterest opportunities proactively - Perform light account/board cleanup and optimization as needed - Manage basic Pinterest Ads campaigns (up to approximately $500/month in ad spend) - Provide weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance reporting and recommendations Our account is established and needs a fresh perspective and some cleanup, but creating and testing new pins will be the initial priority. We’ll provide priority products/URLs, product images, fonts, creative inspiration, our logo, and access to licensed stock imagery. You’ll be responsible for turning those priorities into effective Pinterest campaigns and creating the finished graphics. Requirements: - Proven experience managing Pinterest for a business or brand - Strong Pinterest strategy, SEO, and keyword research skills - Strong Canva design skills - Strong copywriting skills - Experience with Pinterest Analytics and performance optimization - Understanding of creative testing and conversion-focused Pinterest marketing - Highly organized, proactive, and able to work independently - Comfortable taking ownership rather than waiting for individual tasks to be assigned Strongly preferred: Experience working with education, teacher-resource, homeschool, parenting, children's learning, or similar brands—especially businesses selling to teachers and/or parents. Experience with Tailwind, Shopify, GA4, Pinterest Ads, Amazon/KDP, digital products, or video pins is a plus. **Important Creative Requirement** AI-generated images, graphics, illustrations, and videos are not permitted. AI may be used for research, brainstorming, strategy, or copy assistance. How We'll Work: We use ClickUp for project management and communication. Work is asynchronous, but strong communication and reliability are important. Initially, campaign plans, graphics, and copy will be reviewed before publishing. Over time, the goal is for the Pinterest Manager to operate with significant autonomy and ownership of the channel. Pinterest traffic will primarily go to Shopify product, collection, and content pages, email opt-in pages, and select Amazon KDP listings. Our primary goal is qualified outbound traffic, with conversions and revenue tracked where possible—not simply impressions or follower growth. Please include relevant Pinterest examples and answer the screening questions when applying.
