PR Pitching & Media Outreach Specialist (2–3 Hours/Week | Flexible Schedule)

We're looking for a freelance PR professional to provide ongoing pitching support for consumer brands. This is a long-term opportunity for someone who enjoys media outreach, building targeted press lists, and connecting products with the right journalists. The workload averages 2–3 hours per week, with a flexible schedule. Outreach should be completed 3–4 days per week to maintain consistent follow-up and maximize response rates. Responsibilities: Build targeted media lists using Muck Rack and other research tools Conduct media outreach 3–4 days per week using a mail merge platform (YAMM, GMass, Mailmeteor, or similar) Personalize pitches when appropriate to improve engagement Send timely follow-up emails to journalists and editors Track outreach, responses, and sample requests in shared spreadsheets Communicate noteworthy media opportunities and reporter feedback Preferred Qualifications: 1–3+ years of public relations or media relations experience Experience pitching consumer brands in categories such as lifestyle, food & beverage, beauty, wellness, home, pet, parenting, or consumer tech Experience building media lists and identifying relevant journalists Proficiency with YAMM (Yet Another Mail Merge) or similar mail merge/email outreach software Familiarity with Muck Rack, Cision, or similar media databases is a plus Reliable, organized, and able to work independently with minimal supervision Hours & Compensation: Approximately 2–3 hours per week Flexible schedule Outreach should be spread across 3–4 weekdays Ongoing freelance opportunity with potential for additional hours as our client roster grows Hourly rate based on experience
