Plush Toy Technical Designer

## Overview We are building a premium collectible emotional-support plush pet toy brand and are looking for an experienced Plush Toy Technical Designer / Soft Toy Product Developer to help bring our original characters into production-ready prototypes. We already have: * Character renders and rotation videos * Factory design sheets * Character lock sheets * Brand guidelines and non-negotiables * Packaging direction and lifestyle imagery We are looking for someone who can translate the approved character concepts into factory-ready technical specifications while preserving the emotional softness, proportions, silhouette language, and premium collectible aesthetic of the brand. This project is for an emotionally driven plush collection designed for cuddly dogs and collectible pet parents. The visual direction is soft, minimal, boutique-premium, and emotionally comforting. Initial characters include: * Luna the Anxious Bunny * Mochi the Sleepy Bear * Pebble the Chaotic Dino Experience with plush toys, stuffed animals, soft goods, collectible plush brands, or premium pet toys is strongly preferred. --- ## Deliverables The selected designer will be responsible for: * Plush technical design development * Factory-ready tech pack creation * Sewing pattern development * Construction diagrams and stitch guidance * Material and fabric recommendations * Embroidery placement specifications * Size and proportion specifications * Prototype engineering support * Sample review and refinement recommendations * Production-ready documentation for factory sampling Preferred deliverables include: * Editable AI/PDF tech pack files * Measurement specification sheets * Construction notes * Material callouts * Pantone color recommendations * Factory communication support during prototype revisions --- ## Candidate Requirements Ideal candidate should have: * Experience designing plush toys or stuffed animals * Experience preparing factory-ready tech packs * Understanding of plush construction and manufacturing * Experience with premium or collectible plush products * Strong understanding of soft goods proportions and silhouette preservation * Experience working with overseas factories is a plus * Pet toy experience is a bonus but not required Please include examples of: * Plush toy projects * Tech packs * Prototype development work * Stuffed animal production work * Soft goods manufacturing projects --- ## Important Notes The emotional appearance and collectible feel of the characters are the highest priority. We are NOT looking for: * General illustrators * Graphic designers only * Cartoon artists without manufacturing experience We ARE looking for someone who understands how to preserve emotional character identity through physical plush engineering and production.
