We need someone who does more than basic audio cleanup. The right person understands how to make a podcast sound professional, engaging, clear, and emotionally strong. You should know how to improve pacing, remove distractions, clean audio naturally, and help the listener stay engaged from beginning to end. This is a long-term role for the right editor. Has strong English listening comprehension. Understands pacing, storytelling, and listener retention. Can make audio sound clean without making it robotic or over-processed. Knows when to remove filler words and when to leave natural speech alone. Can work independently without needing constant supervision. Is organized, reliable, and deadline-driven. Is open to feedback and willing to learn our show style. Can work asynchronously with a team based in New Jersey, USA, Eastern Time. We do not want the conversation over-edited or made to sound unnatural. 2. Health / performance / clinical / informational content For this type of episode, the edit should prioritize clarity, clean structure, and easy listener understanding. Repetition and rambling should be tightened while preserving the meaning of what was said. The right editor should understand the difference between these two styles. Higher pay is possible for someone who can also handle video podcast editing, short-form clips, show notes, or publishing support. Paid Test Project Shortlisted applicants will be invited to complete a paid test edit using a 10–15 minute raw podcast segment. The test will help us evaluate: Audio quality Pacing Naturalness of the edit Ability to remove distractions without over-editing Communication File delivery Deadline reliability Please do not apply if you are not willing to complete a paid test project. What is your typical turnaround time for a 45–60 minute raw episode? What is your rate per episode? Are you available for ongoing weekly work?
