Podcast Editor & Content Creator (Long-Term Opportunity)

My friend and I are launching a brand-new podcast, and we're looking for a talented, reliable, and creative podcast editor to become a long-term partner as we grow. We've already recorded our first three episodes and are looking for someone who can help us produce high-quality content that feels polished, engaging, and professional. While this project will begin with our first three episodes as a trial, we're ideally looking for someone to work with on an ongoing basis as we release a new episode every Sunday. We want it in the style of The Girls Bathroom/Newly Weds or of the like. Scope of Work We're looking for support with the following: Podcast Editing - Edit raw podcast recordings into polished final episodes. - Remove mistakes, long pauses, filler words (where appropriate), and improve the overall flow of the conversation. - Balance audio levels and enhance overall sound quality. - Reduce background noise and ensure the listening experience is professional. - Add our pre-recorded intro and outro. - Insert transitions where appropriate. - Audio Branding We're looking for someone who can either create or source a bespoke podcast jingle that reflects our brand and can be used: - Over the intro. - Over the outro. - During natural transitions or breaks throughout each episode. We're open to creative suggestions and would love someone who can bring ideas rather than simply follow instructions. Social Media Content From each episode we'd like several short-form clips suitable for social media, including: - Instagram (Reels) - TikTok These should include engaging cuts, captions, subtitles and basic motion graphics where appropriate to maximise engagement. We're looking for someone who is: - Highly reliable and able to consistently meet deadlines. - A strong communicator who keeps us updated throughout the editing process. - Creative and proactive, bringing ideas to improve the overall quality of the podcast. - Experienced in podcast editing and short-form content creation. - Comfortable working independently once they understand our style. As episodes will be released every Sunday, meeting agreed timelines is extremely important. We'd like to begin by working together on our first three episodes. This will allow both sides to make sure we're a good fit before moving into an ongoing partnership. If everything goes well, we're hoping this will become a long-term collaboration with regular weekly work.
