Podcast Editor (Descript) — Video + Audio for a Mental Health Practice Podcast

Description We're a private psychiatry practice in the Rockville, MD area producing an ongoing, two-host educational podcast (calm, conversational, patient-friendly). We record in Descript and want an editor who works natively in Descript so we can simply share the project with you. What you'd do, per episode: Edit a two-host recording down to a clean ~20–25 minute episode (remove filler words, false starts, long pauses; tighten pacing while keeping it natural — not over-cut). Light audio cleanup (levels, noise, clarity). Add our standard intro/outro music and simple lower-thirds / host name graphics for the video version. Export two deliverables: an audio file for podcast (Apple/Spotify) and a video file for YouTube, plus accurate captions. Keep certain segments intact exactly as recorded (a brief crisis-resource read and a short disclaimer) — we'll flag these. Important: Episodes discuss mental health topics. We need an editor who treats the content respectfully and accurately, and never trims the safety/disclaimer segments. Cadence: Roughly 1–2 episodes per month, ongoing for the right person. To start: We'll begin with one paid trial episode. If it's a great fit, we'd love to make this a steady, recurring engagement.
